Scope of the Prism guarantee

PRISM modular products are covered by a 10-year warranty. Date from the date of purchase on the invoice or receipt. This warranty applies to all items with defects in materials or workmanship. Examples: zip sliders and strips, zips, seams and unusual discoloration of fabric. Non-modular PRISM OFF ROAD products have a 2 year warranty from the date of purchase.

The PRISM OFF ROAD warranty applies when the products are used under normal conditions for their intended purpose.

With this warranty, PRISM undertakes, as the case may be, to repair or replace the product if repair is impossible.

This commercial guarantee is in addition to the legal guarantees of conformity and hidden defects. Guarantees provided by the provisions of the Consumer Code and the Civil Code reproduced below:

Legal guarantee of conformity (extract from the Consumer Code) 

Article L 211-4 "The seller is obliged to deliver goods in conformity with the contract and is liable for any defects in conformity existing at the time of delivery. He shall also be liable for any lack of conformity resulting from the packaging, the assembly instructions or the installation when the latter was made his responsibility by the contract or was carried out under his responsibility.

Article L 211-5 "To be in conformity with the contract, the goods must :

    1. Be fit for the purpose ordinarily expected of similar goods and, where appropriate :
        • correspond to the description given by the seller and have the qualities that the seller has presented to the buyer in the form of a sample or model;
        • have the qualities that a buyer may legitimately expect, having regard to the public statements made by the seller, the producer or his representative. In particular in advertising or labelling.
    1. Or have the characteristics defined by mutual agreement between the parties or be fit for any special purpose sought by the buyer, brought to the seller's attention and accepted by the latter.

Article. L 211-12 "The action resulting from the lack of conformity is prescribed by two years from the delivery of the goods".

Guarantee of hidden defects (extract from the Civil Code)

Article 1641 "The seller is bound by the warranty for hidden defects in the thing sold which render it unfit for the use for which it was intended, or which so diminish that use that the buyer would not have acquired it, or would only have given a lesser price for it, if he had known of them.
Article 1648 al 1 "The action resulting from redhibitory defects must be brought by the purchaser within two years of the discovery of the defect".

Implementation of the guarantee

The following procedure must be followed, otherwise the guarantee will not apply.

To enter under warranty, the product must be returned to the head office of the company PRISM OFF ROAD. The head office is located at 31 Allée des Thomasses 74540 ALBY-SUR-CHERAN - France. Include the invoice in your shipment. The product will then be checked by our after-sales service to determine its date of acquisition and its conditions of use.

The PRISM OFF ROAD warranty applies when the product is used under normal conditions for its intended purpose.

If the warranty conditions are met, we will repair the PRISM OFF ROAD product. If the damage or defect cannot be repaired, we will replace the item with an identical product. If this is not possible, we will replace it with a similar product of comparable value.

Under no circumstances will the PRISM OFF ROAD warranty entitle you to a refund of the product price.

In accordance with the provisions of Article L211-16 of the French Consumer Code. The 10-year warranty is extended by the duration of the product's immobilisation resulting from the implementation of the warranty. When this immobilisation exceeds seven days:

Article L 211-16 "When the buyer asks the seller, during the course of the commercial guarantee that was granted to him at the time of the acquisition or repair of a movable good, for a repair covered by the guarantee, any period of immobilisation of at least seven days shall be added to the duration of the guarantee that remained to run. This period shall run from the date of the buyer's request for service or from the date the goods in question are made available for repair, if this is after the request for service.


We do not cover damage or defects resulting from normal wear and tear. For example: defective zipper tape, damaged buckles, normal fading of the fabric. Also damage resulting from abuse: tears, cuts, holes in the fabric, cosmetic damage, scratched or stained fabrics.

Direct or indirect damage (loss of contents, loss of use, loss of time, similar expenses) is excluded from the guarantee. Damage caused by airlines or public transport. Examples: pressure damage, tears, cuts, holes in the fabric, damage to wheels, handles and other bag materials. Claims in transit must be made against the carrier.

In the event of damage not covered by this warranty we may offer to repair the product. If possible and at your expense, after an estimate of the cost of the repair.
